Cowboy Bebop - Episode 4 : Gateway Shuttle #2
At this point, the Bebop stumbles upon Faye in her ship. She has opened the case, and has found a strange capsule in it. A hourglass containing a yellow liquid is encased inside the capsule. She picks up the Bebop on her radar, and signals them to help her. Spike and Jet pick her up, and hand cuff her... again. Spike, Jet, and Faye all puzzle over the strange capsule Faye received, and Spike pulls out his gun and blows it apart. Luckily, the vial inside did not break, and Jet picks it up and hands it to Spike. The vial contains the virus that the Space Warriors had developed, and the dead man Faye had pulled it from had been a spy amongst the Space Warriors. The team finds out that he reward on Twinkle has been cancelled, since the Ganymede government wants to make the Space Warriors as happy as possible.
Jet and Spike release Twinkle, though as she is leaving Spike slips the hourglass into her pocket. The Space Warriors jump into hyperspace, where they betray all of Ganymede by firing a missile containing thousands of capsules of the virus. If one capsule detonates in the Ganymede atmosphere, the entire planet's population will be reduced to nothing but a bunch of monkeys. The award for Twinkle is reinstated, and Spike goes into hyperspace to catch up to the missile and take it out. Faye follows behind.
The single missile explodes into 3 more missiles, and Spike is able to take out only 2. After some quick bargaining, Faye comes up to take out the last missile, but then that missile explodes into thousands of missiles, each containing a vial of the virus. Jet contacts Spike, and tells him that they are closing the hyper gate and going to seal off the section of hyperspace, Spike, Faye, the virus missiles, the Space Warriors, and all. Faye and Spike high tail it out of there, and make it out JUST before the gate closes. The Space Warriors are now trapped for all eternity in the hyperspace. Onboard, the Space Warriors hit some brakes on their ship to avoid hitting into the closed hyper gate. The braking causes the Virus Vial Spike had slipped into Twinkle's pocket to fall out. In slow motion Twinkle watches in horror as the vial containing the virus explodes in front of her.
On board the Bebop, everyone is safe at last. Faye makes a comment that she is going to use the shower, and Spike realizes what that means. He gets up to tell her to get off of his ship now, and a loud punching sound is heard through the ship. Jet sighs, "Oh well."
