Bleach is a manga and anime series by Tite Kubo

Bleach follows the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15 year old high school student with the ability to see ghosts; and a shinigami (god of deat), named Rukia Kuchiki, who runs into him one day while searching for a hollow (an evil spirit). During the ensuing confrontation with the spirit, she is wounded and forced to transfer all of her powers into Ichigo. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia begin. Together they search for hollows and perform soul burials on wayward souls, cleansing the spirits and sending them to Soul Society.

The early parts of the story focus mainly on the relationships between the characters, rather than the actual occupation of the shinigami. However, as events unfold, the story begins to delve deeper into the world of these gods of death on the "other side" called Soul Society.

Bleach is a very origional series that one can definitely look forward to as this year's top anime series. The story is very origional as it employs a relationship with a shinigami, which can be compared to the grim reaper in the European society and United States culture. As the series goes on, it discusses the real truth behind hollows and the society in which the ghosts are vanquished to, the Soul Society. Although the jokes in the manga are not carried well to the anime, many people will find the series funny with plenty of places to laugh at. With many plot twist coming toward to viewers, it is sure to please those who look for genre that include comedy, super power, school kids, and fighting.

Bleach is very promising. It is with no doubt one of the year's best series, and is recommend for anyone who is currently looking for a new worthy series to watch after finishing Fullmetal Alchemist or anything of sort.

Actualy Bleach is not original. The story is is similar to Yu Yu Hakusho.
